This 8x10” composition will focus on the little that is left in Dexter, Texas. Our focus will be on techniques to enhance the dilapidated wood siding of the one-room shack with its damaged shingled roof. The faded building to the right will be accented by the darkened window with highlighted framing, a technique I enjoy teaching.

This 8x10” composition will make use of the masquepen to create highlighted tree limbs against the dark background. Background will explore wet-on-wet technique sprinkled with salt and stale bread crumbs. The rugged tree bark will involve graphite, watercolor pencil and “ugly brush” techniques. This should be great fun!

Using acrylic paints and specialized tools, you’ll craft a stunning 6-inch mandala on round wood—all materials provided. No prior experience needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy the journey!

Come paint his funky pumpkin. This class has lists of options, you can use a palette knife as I did in the photo, or you can use a brush for a smoother look. You can go for the fun blue or traditional orange. We can leave out the vines and write thankful or grateful. The painting is done on a 6x6 1.5 canvas perfect for sitting on a shelf or table.  We will also paint the sides and seal the painting with an acrylic layer. Please reserve your spot by September 23.
